SMS Recharge of Prepaid Accounts

How to send request for prepaid credit top-up?

First Step

Prepaid credit top-up is initiated by sending free SMS to 8585 as follows:

TOP-UP_AMOUNT <SPACE> PHONE_NUMBER (optional) <SPACE> DINA (optional) :WELCOME_MESSAGE (optional)

TOP-UP_AMOUNT – Top-up amount must be in whole numbers and must be within a range from RSD 150 (minimum amount) to RSD 1,000 (maximum daily limit).

PHONE_NUMBER – This parameter is optional, and if it is not entered, your own mobile phone will be topped up. If you want to top up prepaid credit for another user of the Mobile Telephony of Serbia, after filling in the top-up amount, you also need to enter PHONE NUMBER which you want to top up.

DINA (account type) - DINA parameter is entered only if you can top up prepaid credit through several accounts. This parameter is optional, as in case DinaCard account is the first account registered with the Mobile Telephony of Serbia, collection will be always made from such account.

:WELCOME_MESSAGE – a message sent to a prepaid user whose mobile phone is topped up (unless the user tops up his own mobile phone).

Example 1
You want to top up credit for your own mobile phone:
- Message content:
1000

Example 2
You want to top up credit for somebody else’s mobile phone:
- Message content:
1000 064XXXXXXX

Example 3
You want to top up credit for somebody else’s mobile phone, and you send a welcome message:
- Message content:
1000 064XXXXXXX: Happy birthday!

Note 1: Number 064XXXXXXX is the number of mobile phone that is to be topped up with prepaid credit.

Step Two

After you send initial message, you need to confirm this transaction by text messaging your mPIN. You will receive a message from the Mobile Telephony of Serbia as follows:

For transaction confirmation (amount: RSD 1000), please text message your mPIN.

  • If you want to confirm this transaction, you reply to this message with your mPIN.
  • If you want to cancel this transaction, you do not reply to this message.

Third Step

After the correct mPIN is entered and the confirmation message is sent within stipulated time, prepaid credit is topped up, and the user receives the following message as a confirmation of successful transaction:

"Dear user, your transaction has been successfully completed. Specified mobile phone has been credited with RSD 1000 of credit.”

In case of any irregularity such as wrong message format, attempt to top up a mobile phone which is not a prepaid number, delay in mPIN confirmation of transaction, blockage of current account or interrupted communication during prepaid credit top-up, the user will receive appropriate message from the mobile operator.

If a user enters wrong mPIN 5 times, he will be automatically placed on a black list, and SMS top-up service will be blocked. For reactivation of this service, you should call user service of the mobile operator.
